The public schools today, as a whole, are quite heinous in terms of student knowledge attained. How can a democracy run well, if its members are not aware of basic civics and have a poor understanding of history and abysmal math scores? We need to break the stranglehold of mediocrity that the current system has on teaching. Of course, individual teachers can be great, and certainly so many people who go into the profession do so as an act of service. But when private and charter schools have results that are much closer to 100%, rather than closer to 0%, in terms of student comprehension in various subjects, why is there even a debate? Yes, let's stop this nonsense now. America is the laughing stock of the developed world in education. Anyone who watches those late night talk shows when they do street interviews — asking very basic questions that stump those interviewed (such as "who's buried in Grant's tomb?"), needs to realize that these are not just people cherry-picked for the humor, they, more or less, actually represent average American educational attainment in its current form! Fix this now by opening up other options to parents. The best of private, charter, and magnet schools have better discipline, and greater focus on reading and critical thinking skills, such as being able to glean the main idea from long passages, with subject matter often taught by subject matter experts. Add to this the option of online learning that can include courses taught by THE WORLD EXPERTS on any given subjects, and you have a bevy of choices allowing for the possibility of much better success in turning out a learned public who can deal with the important issues of the day, intelligently. And, with the speeding up of the world brought on by that speedy 'force multiplier' of artificial intelligence, these critical thinking skills and a base of common knowledge is ever more important. Steve Laffey figured out, some time ago, that our schools were failing our students, and that a course correction would only be possible by exploring options outside the bounds of, and at the very edges of, the current system. America's public schools have been captured by the Socialists and One World Order (WEF), with support from the unions and deep state By instilling their propaganda-- CRT, 1619 Project, transgenderism, etc.-- in our children and grandchildren, they hope to destroy America's next generation of leaders. There can be no future when history is removed or manipulated. The answer is abolition of public schools, replaced by private schools and home schooling. The federal government must be disconnected from the school system, replaced by local school boards. Money should pass from the federal and state governments to the local boards, without any strings attached. All politics are local.

Thank you, Steve, for bringing attention to this (among many) problem, offering solutions, and waking up the parents and taxpayers.
