The voters of this country had better wake up very quickly. The government of the US is on the verge of bankruptcy. Why are our elected officials allowing this to happen? They are captured by the major corporations, the banks and the filthy rich, getting a little bit of the spoils. The politicians, major corporations, banks and filthy rich are getting wealthier while the middle class is getting poorer and being destroyed. Folks, wake up.
Steve Laffey is the ONLY candidate offering solutions to the problems. He knows what to do about the Fed, about the banks, Social Security and, yes, student loans. This great Republic will not survive unless we become very smart about who we elect in 2024.
Others aren't talking about solutions to the problem because it's yesterday's news. We're on to something else already. I wonder if politicians think to themselves, "I've got to make a statement about this issue. I'll pretend like I know the problem and how I've been aware of it for years, including how to solve it. I'll make my statement and hope nobody asks for an explanation of how to solve the issue. I'll wait for the next blockbuster news item that comes along later in the day and do the same. Maybe eventually I'll be able to speak authoritatively about something." Years ago someone told me not to criticize something unless you have an alternative solution or a way to fix the problem. Couldn't agree more. That's where Laffey is. He addresses a problem head-on with a sound solution. No pomp and hand waving, just straight solutions.
The people remain ignorant and weak regarding standing up to the entire DC establishment. There is a systemic problem (with our government) that only a drastic and rather intense correction could ever hope to bring about and make the monumental changes required to bring the USA back from the brink. Why else would truth speaking go unnoticed, underreported, and ignored by the MSM, et al? Corruption is so ubiquitous that the masses, like proverbial lemmings, just go along refusing to make the changes needed for their own survival. Psalm 121.

Reminds me of the Great Recession caused by the securitized bad home loans back in 2008. These loans were not properly vetted to ensure that the borrowers could afford them. And now we have the same thing. Low interest gov't subsidized loans should be for well run efficient state colleges where a person can get a fine education without creating poverty for his/her family.
