Dear Mr. Jamison:  If you could ever pull yourself together and want to do a positive story on homeschooling, I am 970-xxx-xxxx.  I am this Steve Laffey.  stevelaffey.com

The one who spent this year running for President, attempting and failing to take out Donald Trump.

Your story is so bizarrely out of line, there is no point in even going over it line by line.  I just pray you didn't write the title:

What home schooling hides: A boy tortured and starved by his stepmom

The article is so bad, What home schooling hides: A boy tortured and starved by his stepmom

What home schooling hides: A boy tortured and starved by his stepmom

Roman Lopez was 11 when he went missing. His years of torment were concealed by home schooling.

I can only conclude your deep seated hatred for homeschooling must have started a long time ago.

Your article could have been simply not written as you state in it..."Little research exists on the links between home schooling and child abuse. The few studies conducted in recent years have not shown that home-schooled children are at significantly greater risk of mistreatment than those who attend public, private or charter schools."

Hmmm...so what is the point of your article?

Peter, I may be the only Harvard Business School graduate who spent several years homeschooling three little kids when my oldest daughter was stricken with stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer on May 29, 2015.

But why would it be of any interest of the WashPost to find out what happened to them?

A little about me...

Peter, you seem ok with that.  I am looking for your extensive article on public school teachers and employees abusing their students. I did not find one.

Pretty bad.  Mr. Jamison: I know more about homeschooling than anyone you know.  I certainly know more than Professor Elizabeth Bartholet at Harvard.

But maybe she is your call for your next article, "Many Learned Education Professionals in USA Want Homeschooling Banned--Racism Runs Amok!" (Says one lady!)

I did all this in 15 minutes.  My kids could have done it in 13.

This is Audrey, 20 year old Junior at CSU. Home-schooled. Maybe the WashPost wants to talk with her?

Here’s some home-schooled kids of mine at Thanksgiving. They eat and make pies. Jessica on the right is an 18 year old College Junior, Stephen Jr. (tallest) is a 15 year old college junior, (yes I said 15) Sam in the blue (and his lovely wife Alf) was homeschooled—he graduated college at age 20, has two advanced degrees and protects children for a living. And there is Audrey!

This is Sarah Grace Laffey pictured when she was being home-schooled. She has survived 8 years of stage 4 cancer, graduated from college, and has graduate degree from BU and is married.

Home-schooling for everyone!
