The “Talking Nation” and the 1/2-hour news cycle stops if I am president.
The New York Times reports something we have known since 2020. You remember Sen. Tom Cotton and the others. They finally figured out we should onshore our legal drug making capacity and NOT get it from Communist China. They talked and talked, and they did nothing.
From the article.
“A worrisome scarcity of cancer drugs has heightened concerns about the troubled generic drug industry. Congress and the White House are seeking ways to address widespread supply problems.”
“Seeking ways?” People are going to die. “Seeking ways?” Do you understand how the lack of leadership for so many years is now coming home to roost? Did President Trump bring the manufacturing of prescription drugs back to North America? Do you think President Biden will? Do the other candidates even have a plan?
Here is President Biden
“The Biden administration has assembled a team to find long-term solutions for shoring up the pharmaceutical supply chain, at a time when the United States remains heavily reliant on medicines and drug ingredients from India and China. And in recent weeks, generic drug makers, supply-chain experts and patient advocates have appeared before lawmakers to discuss the problems.”
They “assembled a team.” Like yesterday. They always assemble a team rather than say, “We have no idea what we are doing.”
But they have no idea what they are doing.
I do. I will bring these drugs home. People will live. The country needs a sense of urgency.
From the article:
“India and China are increasingly the leading U.S. source for generic pharmaceuticals, which account for 90% of all prescriptions written in the U.S.”
Where are the other candidates? Where is President Trump? I will get this done.
