Presidential Candidate Steve Laffey to Kick Off Iowa Campaign Season
Can I go to the cookout? Will there be BBQ? Okay I’ve known Steve Laffey for about 20 years. I told him way back at the beginning of the first Mayor campaign that he had the whole package, the right stuff if you will. He is a natural campaigner who only gets better and better as the heat gets turned up. He loves to serve his constituents not himself (the very definition of public service). He knows what he is talking about in the key areas of government and governing; things like finances and taxes, public employee unions, administration and beaurocracy, planning, staff and key appointments, education, publicity, public policy, international affairs, national security, legal and constitution, personal integrity, etc. He knows how to spot and analyze core problems and figure out real solutions, and then execute those solutions with the right people, policies and programs... whatever it takes. He is fearless in battle no matter the opponent, and he is tireless in his effort to fix the problem no matter how large it may be or how loud and obnoxious his detractors. Bottom line: when Steve is on the national debate stage at some point this year or next the people of America (those who are discerning and not in lock step with a political party) may just realize this man should be our next president. Praying for a breakthrough.
