FDIC Insurance = Approx. $150 Billion

Deposits at USA banks = Approx. $23 Trillion

$150,000,000,000 Divided by 23,000,000,000,000 =.006

or .6%

So trying to cover all the deposits in USA with less than 1% of the money set aside, is not going to happen. Not ever.
